THE POINTS LISTED ARE THE TOTAL AMOUNT FOR ALL RACES RUN THIS SEASON. THE TOTAL POINTS AT THE END OF THE SEASON WILL BE LESS THAN WHAT IS LISTED. ONLY YOUR BEST 13 RACES WILL COUNT TOWARDS YOUR FINAL PLACE.
2008 Points
There has been some confusion as to how the points will be kept for the 2008 race season between Pueblo and Colorado Springs.
Hopefully this will clarify
any questions you may have.
You can earn points at either track. There will be a track champion
for each class at each track. You may run for the championship at both tracks if
you join both clubs.
Otherwise your accumulated points count
ONLY FOR YOUR HOME CLUB.
There are seventeen (17) races in which a driver can earn points towards the
club championship. Seven (7) races are at each club (SCQMA, PPQMA) plus the
three Colorado Races in September. Out of these 17 races, four (4) Heats and two
(2) Main/Timing may be thrown out per track. A total of eight (8)
Heats and four (4) Main/Timing will be thrown out for the year, leaving thirteen
(13) point races to count towards the championship.
We will post the points on our websites.
Remember you must race 51% for
a year end award
and 70% to qualify as a track champion.
(This is before throw-outs
and the percentage is based on total available point races)
